Join the European Synthetic Biology Society as a Newsletter Writer!
Are you passionate about Synthetic Biology and want to get involved at the European community level? Join the European Synthetic Biology Society (EUSynBioS) team and help us bring together the European Synthetic Biology community!

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse academic and professional backgrounds who are passionate about Synthetic Biology and want to make a difference. As a Newsletter Writer, you will be part of the Communications Team but will report to all team leaders, as well as the Chair and Vice Chair of EUSynBioS.

What We Offer:

  • Access to a network of synthetic biologists and enthusiasts across Europe

  • Opportunities to represent EUSynBioS at conferences

  • Potential to get involved in other teams, such as Fundraising, Communications, or Outreach

Role Requirements:

  • Commitment of 1-2 hours per week on average

  • Experience with writing and/or MailChimp and Squarespace preferred

  • Skills in blog content writing, graphic design, virtual event development, seminar coordination, online community engagement, website & social media management, and outreach & fundraising are advantageous

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create and curate engaging content for our monthly newsletter

  • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure alignment with EUSynBioS activities and goals

  • Develop strategies to increase newsletter readership and community engagement

  • Report to the Chair and Vice Chair on newsletter performance and community feedback
